I had just walked out of the National Taiwan Museum of Fine Arts in the city of Taichung, trying to find my way back to my hotel, when I noticed these three friends stopped at a phone booth.
Looking at them as I passed by, I felt transported back to my teenage years. The payphone. The best friends leaning in to listen. A Sunday afternoon out. Girls up to something.
It made my heart smile and I had to capture it.
The more I travel and discover new cultures, the more I notice the common elements that betray our humanity.
