I’m back from Guadeloupe Islands. What a breath of fresh air!
An unpretentious, surprising archipelago with incredible soul and passion—reflected in the people, the food and landscape across seven islands. Colors, flavors and magnificent vistas bursting out of every corner. I can’t say much more yet on the blog, as I’m working on material for other outlets, but I’ll share what I can in a few postcards from my trip—including my experience diving outside of Belize for the first time.
In the meantime, here are publication updates from the past month:
- “MOON BELIZE CAYES” for Moon Travel Guides: I am thrilled to share that I’ve signed a second contract with Moon Guides, to author a new edition focusing on Belize’s offshore islands. “Moon Belize Cayes” has a planned release date of Fall 2014. The guidebook adventures continue!
- Jamaica Destination Guide for AFAR.com (AFAR Magazine’s online guide): This was an absolute treat to write. As much as I know and >> love Jamaica, I hadn’t yet shared my numerous tips on how to best experience the island, from sights to jerk stops and cultural events. Doing it for AFAR was worth the wait. This digital guide—also featuring my photographs—will be released around March 2014, and syndicated on another major site that I’ll reveal when the time comes.
- Jamaica’s Best Beaches e-book: I’m in the last chapter of my own mini guide on Jamaica’s best beaches and recommended nearby sights and accommodations. I plan to self-publish by the end of Summer 2014.
- I still contribute monthly to Viator Travel’s Belize Blog and on a regular basis to Travel + Escape on Caribbean and Central American destinations.
Last but not least, if you’re headed to Belize this winter—an ideal, nearby getaway—remember to take your trusted expert with you!
