Caribbean Week New York 2014

It’s been an incredibly busy and exciting travel year, folks!

Quick recap: After two months in Belize, working on and completing my second guidebook for Moon, I traveled to Jamaica twice in one month–for print assignments and for my upcoming Jamaica mini-guide– and a few days later, headed to Travel Classics Writers’ Conference in New Zealand. Shortly after, Martinique was next for a visit with ATOUT France and Martinique Tourist Board.

And then, two days later, I hopped north to New York City for the annual Caribbean Week events (#CWNY14) organized by the Caribbean Tourism Organization.

I had such a wonderful time there, that I feel compelled to share a snapshot of my experience.

Joining The Passport Party Project’s Advisory Board

I’m excited and honored to share that I’ve signed on as an Advisory Board Member for the Passport Party Project’s Phase 2.

You might remember the Passport Party Project from a previous post on my blog–welcoming the girls in a live message from Belize and also sharing a photo from the girls’ very first trip to the Jewel.

Since then, many great things have continued to happen for the Passport Party Project and its founder, Tracey Friley. Named 2013 National Geographic Traveler of the Year, she has gone on to create a second phase to the project, which will reward a second round of deserving girls with their very first passport!
