Postcard of the Week: Celebrating Life in Belize

DSC_6752-2 copy.jpg

In honor of “Throwback Thursday,” and in a moment of reflection–with another birthday around the corner–I’m sharing this image from last year, when I photographed a couple of my dearest friends here in Belize.

So many images don’t make the light of day, and this year I plan to change that.

This photo, in my humble opinion, embodies the essence of the friendly Belizean spirit. Two hardworking sisters, enjoying a Belikin and >>shooting the breeze while waiting on the sun to go down.

I snapped this photo on a break from writing up my first edition of Moon Belize — which I’m excited to share, is currently the No. 1 Bestseller in the Moon Guides Travel Series (for ebooks, out of all 100 Moon Guides titles). This image above also serves as a reminder to take creative breaks along the way and have some fun. It makes me a much better writer.

Stay tuned for more exciting updates on the horizon and thanks to all who purchased a copy of Moon Belize, as a gift or to plan your travels. I’d love your feedback on Amazon! And I’m always happy to hear from readers.
