Postcard of The Week: Fishing on Caye Caulker

Back on my regularly scheduled postcard roll! Thanks for your patience, folks.

On other news, I’m excited to share that I’ve landed the cover photo of the next Moon Belize edition (and my first guidebook, due out in the Fall of 2013).  The committee at Moon had seven final images of Belize to vote on — five from other professional photographers and two of mine.  As a travel photographer, I couldn’t be happier. Freelance Travel writer, Photographer and Guidebook author Lily Girma has lived and studied in Africa, Europe and the Americas. In 2008, she left behind a prestigious law career to follow her passion.     Congratulations Lily! I think I love your photos so much because I’m a water baby, love the ociean and there’s something about your pics that always make me feel as if I’m almost physically there on the water I’m seeing in your pics.
